Sculptors Carol Peace and Sally Matthews

We’re excited to be showing new works by Carol Peace, Sally Matthews, Paul Carton, Guy Lester and Marion Eliot during h-Art (7 – 15 September 2024). Carol Peace is a sculptor whose elegant and personal pieces are finished in bronze and bronze resin. A founder of the Bristol Drawing School, drawing is part of everything she does. Sally Matthews is creating a custom installation of life size black labradors made from natural materials that was inspired by the setting and architecture of Cabalva Farmhouse. Wood carver and sculptor Paul Caton will be showing unique and graceful wooden bowls. Also showing are Guy Lester’s small but powerful landscape paintings. And we’re thrilled to show Marion Elliot’s delightful folklore-inspired collages.

About Cabalva Farm

Cabalva Farm is a working farm set amidst gently rolling hills, meadows and streams. Its historic buildings, garden courtyard, stables and expansive views of the Rive Wye and the Black Mountains, river fishing, Offa's Dyke Walk, and trout-filled pond make it a perfect country escape. Nearby Hay-on-Wye, home of the Telegraph Hay Literary Festival and undisputed capitol of second-hand bookshops, has lively open-air markets, galleries and festivals year round.
